Passion is overrated

when i meet people who claims to be passionate about somethings, often times is that these people are good at doing those things, there are a few exceptions of course

But the thing is, it’s totally okay to be passionate about somethings that you totally suck at.

being good at something should not be a pre-requisite to be passionate

As a matter of fact, I think being bad at something is a much better proxy for how passionate someone really is.

and actually, the word passion, comes from the latin word Passio, which means to suffer.

So let’s treat passion as a privilege to suffer, a privilege to be bad at something while we get better at it.
